Man dismembers girlfriend in Quarter; cooks body parts



A suicide note in the pocket of a man who jumped off the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel late Tuesday led police to the grisly scene of his girlfriend’s murder, where they found her charred head in a pot on the stove, her legs and feet baked in the oven and the rest of her dismembered body in trash bag in the refrigerator, according to police and the couple’s landlord.

The man, Zackery Bowen, a tall man in his mid 20s with long blond hair, claimed in the note to have killed his girlfriend, Adrian “Addie” Hall, on Oct. 5, according to police. Hall was also in her mid 20s.

In the five-page note, Bowen claimed he strangled Hall in the bathtub, then dismembered her body before taking it in pieces to the kitchen, police said. An autopsy conducted today shows that Hall was in fact manually strangled, police said. It also appears that Hall’s body was cut up after she died, police said.

Of course the Krays and Richardsons were real mobsters, I'm not denying that- but were they an anomaly? It seems now whenever organised crime is mentioned these days in regard to the Smoke it's either high-profile, anonymous traders fiddling the accounts or roving gangs of eastern-european (usually illegal) immigrants ferrying their extended family across the channel.

So are there any London born-and-bread mobsters left who still hold sway in the old neighbourhoods? It's been so long since I last saw a group of sharply-dressed blokes striding through Bethnal Green in the early hours, sawn-offs cunningly hidden under their camel hair overcoats, I'm beginning to wonder if they were ever real...or has Guy sodding Ritchie robbed us of our dignity?

There are a lot of people, both on this site and in the world at large, who harp on about how we are headed for the end of the world and that human kind is swiftly falling towards some apocalyptic doomsday (religiously oriented or otherwise).

Do you believe this is so, or is it more likely that we are just experiencing another low in our cultural evolution where great advances in technology, medical science and multi-culturalism are balanced out by rising crime figures, world conflicts, corrupted youth culture and more and more cases of obesity and ignorance?

What do you think? Is it time yet to barricade ourselves in our homes with whatever weaponry we have handy and await armageddon, or is tomorrow always a brighter day?

Even if you yourself would choose to go nude, can you really blame someone else if they insisted on wearing clothes?

My point is that Muslim women ought to be allowed to wear their head coverings and modest dress, even where modesty is not the norm.

but have you ever encountered a problem from it? approx 8 yrs ago we refinanced our home for a lower interest rate and the bank paid off the wrong person!
From Georgia no less and I'm from Maine! So next thing I know, I'm getting a foreclosrue notice due to non payment!
Have you ever had any problems with having the same name as someone else?
