Last I checked the World only had 6.5billion people. It is not as crowded as 14billion yet. Anyway, to answer your question I know someone who was getting these mysterous credit card bills. They had the same credit card but, didn't remember making any of the purchases that were displayed on the bill. So he called the credit card company and said "Hey I think someone stole my credit card number and they are making purchases on it." So the credit card co. looked into it but, my friend didn't hear back from them so he called them again. He asked if they had taken care of the problem. They said that they called my friend back and that he said he remembered making those purchases and that everything was fine. Well after some further investigation it was discovered that there is a guy with the same name as my friend who lived on the same exact street as my friend does. Literally like two blocks away. This isn't a common name like Smith or Jones either that is what made it so unusual. Anyway, it got cleared up and my friend and the guy that shares his name play cards together now. Strange stuff huh.

i had a problem with a woman who worked in a refuge for battered women had the same name as me.
And to top it off, my telephone number was only one digit different - that made for some pretty awful phone calls....
