I'm hispanic, I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I was buying xmas gifts one year, I inquired about the price of a doll, and the sales clerk said "it doesn't speak spanish". He actually made me laugh, but his intent wasn't to be humorous

Wars, famine, poverty, disease, lack of clean water, prison, crimes, drugs, miseducation and those profiting from it. I am not trying to be depressing or pessimistic but those who try to deny this things are obviously living in fantasy.

I acutally believe this theroy but do not understand one part of it... if our government demolished the twin towers why would they go through the trouble of sending 2 airliners into the buildings? I mean could'nt they just say the towers have been bombed by terroist and that be the story? hmmm

I have a friend--actually we'll call him an aquaintance more than a friend--who is really ugly. In the past I've told him that he's got a face like:

- a bee keeper's apprentice
- a welder's bench

...and various other things. Whilst I'm sure he'd prefer I didn't, he's never seemed to get that miffed.

This morning I told him that his best hope of ever having a social life would be to befriend the blind, refrain from letting them touch his face, and come up with a good excuse to explain the screams that follow him around.

Now he's not talking to me. What do you think has prompted this change in behaviour? Do you agree that he's being a bit prissy?

I have a friend(in her 50's) japanese woman i met in chat. She got married with an american. and now they live in the usa. She's having such a hard time. The town is kind of the country side, there's no japanese community, she doesn't know english. Husband doesn't teach her. He doesn't attempt to learn japanese. husband doesn't give her rides .. she doesn't know how to use the Bus system in the usa . She often cries because she feels in a strange land without help. I don't understand how people get into this kind of relationships.

This is especially true if you're walking in straight path for long distances. If the sun is coming from one direction and the cap is not even covering that direction,, just turn the cap so that it covers. That's what i started doing. then when i walk in another direction i'll turn the cap as needed to cover the sun. I mean, if you're wearing a cap , it has to have a purpose,, and what's the purpose if it's not even covering you? Well i understand people might be shy about looking weird with the cap in twisted in various ways, but i think it doesn't make sense to use a cap if it's not even coverng. Also, who invented the cap, it really doesn't work that well for the purpose of covering your face frm the sun. I alsways find myself with the bright sunshine hitting my head even if i wear it.

If you ask questions, your points go down. If you answer questions, your points go up. Is this a factor in your participation, or is it the fact that you just aren't curious about much to ask questions? I have noticed that some with no or very little questions in their profile, take cheap shots at the asker? Why is that?

Inquiring minds want to know..

Does asking a question scare you? Are those who ask no, or few questions afraid the boogy man is going to come knocking on their door? Does asking questions become an "exposure" issue with you?

We all have to work. We have jobs. We have hobbies/sports/activities that we choose to participate in. But most of the time it requires us to work at them, practice them, have some failures before we get better.

How can we encourage kids to be willing to work/practice and to view work/practice positively?

Why are there still Black/White wars?
Why do ppl (either side) have to discriminate against the others. What is the big deal? Dont we realize that we are all human? That we are all the same and the only difference is the pigments in the skin is deeper than some?
