Who agrees with this statement, and can you with the current measures implemented by the Bush administration--measures that appear to limit liberty?

Sorry, the question is a bit loaded, but needs to be asked, especially of all those who think the Patriot Act, phone-tapping and monitoring people's library borrowing habits are good for security.

what would you presume they were up to?

I saw this this morning at my (new) college (U of GA). At least a couple hundred girls wearing nice dresses and lots of makeup and perfume walked from some dorms past me (waiting at the bus stop) toward campus. They had name tags on. I have a guess what they were doing (I saw a few of them later in the student center), but I've never seen this kind of thing before in my 10 years of being a college student at 3 different colleges.

p.s. yes it was a nice surprise for the morning! a couple of them even said hi to me :).

p.p.s. what would be a better category for this question? i wish YA had a "College Life" category.
