The fact that it's not slavery which upsets today's black population so much.
Its the 100 years of institutionalized discrimination (jim crow) that was imposed on our people that may have some of us still upset.
Blacks didn't get full civil rights in America until the 1960's.
So it wasn't "200" years ago, or whatever.
(some) white people will go on and on about "oh that was hundreds of years ago 'get over it'" but never stop to think that if it wasn't for their race's discrimination and bigotry we may have come alot further along as a people than we have.
