Most women would love to look like these models in their lingerie. Do you think advertising has gone to the extreme?

Advertising has gone to the extreme that many women would be cheated on or would end up feeling so bad about themselves that they either lose the real world or kill themselves. It is however not the VIctoria Secret Models' fault,they're just doing their job. In a way it's the producers/designers/the ones who conceptualize these women to look that way's fault.

In what way? For having a job? Yes. It all depends on your point of view. Personally, I think they're great. If advertising has gone to the extreme the public will lash back as has happened time and time again. So, no. I think advertising has reached a happy medium for now. Right now you hear little uproar from anyone over ads.

I don't know but I have seen some that look anorexic in some of the camera angles (none of the angels these were other women).
I also can't believe how young some of them look, barely 18!!!
I think it is also part of the ploy to get you to buy the product. If you saw a heavier woman with smaller chest you might be less likely to buy.
Sometimes I look through the catalog and might think I like a top or bra because the model wearing it looks so great in it, they toy with you like that.

no,tyra banks is a great example,she tells about touch ups on her shows and will be seen without makeup,heidi klum looked amazing after her baby...I don't think most women expect to look like this...why should they have to be an example...it's a store...the dove campaign is a good example though...

Those models are like a Bentley they are great to look at and admire but too expensive to posses

Nobody looks good in lime green except a lime.
And I don't know the last time my wife sat around the house in her bra and panties, looking pensive.

SMART, sexy, beautiful, making good money, using thier assetts to thier best advantage i'd say yes they are. and no, it's just good advertizing: you know what they are selling.. What is mazda selling showing that sexy rocker dancing in her seat , seat belt doing the lift and separate perfectly, breasts bouncing , and boy driver actually not staring ??? If you are jelous get over it, this is life in America, not iran..
