I have a 15m old and she's perfectly well developed physically but she basically has a 3 word vocabulary, consisting of "Hi", "Baba" which means papa, baby AND bye-bye but NOT bottle, and "got" which means "milk" in Armenian. She rarely ever says "mama" but she uses jibberish constantly and often knods her head as though she is making a point. We speak English and Armenian at home so I wonder if she will take longer to start speaking actual words in either language. Or is she on the average for her age with the few words she does say? She seems to understand everything. I can't help comparing her to other babies which I know is wrong. As long as this is not abnormal I guess I am willing to be patient, but don't want to be irresponsible if I should be intervening.

Many Americans think it's sexy when a person is speaking English with an accent. A person with a Italian, French, or Spanish accent somehow seems sexier than a person with a regular old American accent. I was in line behind a pretty attractive woman yesterday and her attractiveness went up a notch when I heard her Polish accent.

Sooo....what languages sound sexier when they are spoken with an American accent? Also are there languages where people HATE to hear American accents? We are kinda biased here in that Euro accents are preferred to a thick Asian or Middle Eastern accent.
This question is probably best answered by people with foreign experience so please don't toss in your two cents unless you know! Thank you Yahoo! Answers!

If so, where? And by whom?

... Or is it an ancient language?

In what situations is Latin spoken, besides the Church, or in naming new species?

What is the 'use' of learning to speak Latin in today's world, for the average person?

So basically im 16 and i have the opportunity to study abroad in Costa Rica with my school. Im in spanish 3 so i know quit a bit of spanish but im not at all fluent. I would want to go this summer to live with the homestay and be exposed to learn the language completly. But the drawback is it costs A LOT of money and Its only for one month. And that includes the school or whatever to study language more. Or i have another option, i could go to italy not with any sort of program and live my aunt that recently moved there. She doesnt speak italian and either do i. I mainly want to go to learn a language but that wouldnt be including any sort of classes like the costa rica trip. Im thinking that it might be possible to find a small job like a corner deli market of some sort just for the summer and possible communicate with the people. I would be able to stay longer because its not with any program and so i could stay for up three monthes. Which is better? How is it possible to get a job?

....as a second or third language? Or perhaps become a convert completely and make it your primary language? Now there's a challenging thought! Not that I'm looking for converts. I have enough trouble with my native language. Just curious here.
