I am looking into doing a volunteer project in Africa next year, but want to go to one of the countries where I can practice my french and I know some of them are french speaking but can anyone tell me which ones? Thanks!

Most African nations have populations that speak a variety of languages and dialects (like most countries) but Ivory Coast (aka Cote' d'Ivoire) recently changed the official name of the country from the English Ivory Coast to the French Cote' d'Ivoire. French is also the official language.

They are central african and north african countries, none of the southern african countries have french as a national language.
