Is it common to encounter rude people during the holidays?
I was driving in my car today and some guy in his car gave me a look while I was singing to the song on the radio and then he pulled up to me at a stop light and said "Do you have something you want to say to me?"

And I said "No, I DONT have anything I want to say to you" and sped off even before i can say anything back before saying "Good":.

I did at least get to honk loudly at him and give him the finger

Why does it seem like if im in a good mood, people are offended by it?

Seriously, I sometimes get the brunt of people's bad days.

Some Puerto Rican kid pointed in my direction when I was driving too and gave me a sneer I wanted to go after him and ask him to pull over.
What's wrong with being assertive? Am I letting people bother me too much? \
BTW, NO lectures. I am a grown man, but I don't want people to be assholes during this season it ruins it for me.
That's called standing upo for yourself.

My Aunt really isn't aware of all the must-have items every teenage girl needs to make a fashion statement. Her daughter, who is 16 and in high school, had made a pretty extensive Christmas list this year, and I helped my Aunt roam the mall looking for most of her Christmas loot. On the top of my cousin's list was a pair of Chocolate Brown Uggs. We looked high and low, but didn't have any luck finding a pair - they were sold out wherever we turned.

My Aunt, trying to make her daughter happy, was so excited when she finally found a pair of chocolate brown EMU sheepskin boots, another boot brand that are also very good quality and relatively high in price.

Well, christmas morning comes around and she opens the sheepskin boots with a confused look on her face. She searches the heel of the boot, looking for the infamous "Ugg" logo, which obviously isn't there. She looks up at her smiling mom and says "These are *not* the boots I wanted. I'm not wearing cheap fakes".

When opening presents, do you like to tear the paper off slowly and carefully to save the paper or do you rip right into it, and not worry about saving the paper? I've heard that some people like to save the paper. Me, I personally just rip right into it :)

i love my parents to death. and i know they worked their butt's off all year so they could make it a good christmas for me and my family. but my problem is that my parents bought me a lot of stuff that i didnt really want and i didnt really need. they bought me a ton of books for christmas 95% of them, i have already read. i dont know what to do. i dont want to tell them and hurt their feelings, and at the same time i dont want to have a useless book lying around my house making my parents think i dont really care. i dont know what i should do. tell them and take the books back and get some money for something i really want, or act like i like them and move on with my life. i really dont want to see their money go to waste but i dont want to hurt their feelings. what would you do in this situation

My parents can't afford the things I got this year. Well, my dad's company filed bankrupcy and he was out of a job, my mom's in college and doesn't have a job so we don't have insurance. We can't get the COBRA insurance because of how the company laid off all of the workers.
I got a 200 dollar digital camera and my brother got a PSP (expensive). That's about 400 dollars, no including all of the other stuff. I just don't understand. We don't have the money, we can't get a loan, and I don't get it. I just don't understand. How could they afford this? I don't believe in Santa Claus anymore, I want to but I just don't. Stupid school made me think everything had to have a logical reasoning and I've never looked back, honestly. Either way, we can't afford it but I got it.

How is this possible?

Especially those who live in the US or UK, etc, where Christmas is starting to become more 'commercialized.' Where you'll see lights everywhere, or Christmas decors in the malls, and Christmas music playing on the radios.

Do you go along with it?
Or does it bug you at all?
