As a white, straight person, I don't understand what everyday life is like to be black or gay or any other person who would be considered to be in a minority group so forgive me if I seem a bit impertinent but this is a genuine question and something that confuses me.

It sometimes seems that the way that coloured or gay people act is opposite of the way that they wish to be treated by society. We are supposed to treat them just as we do anybody else (which hopefully I do because I don't see how the colour of someone or who they sleep with is anything to do with me anyway) not making any fuss, either positive or negative, about their colour or their lifestyle choices.

But then there are gay pride marches where gay people shout about their sexuality and want it recognised and there are events like The MOBOs which celebrate black achievement. So aren't they then excluding themselves from an integrated society by doing this?

Why can't people be nice?

I saw a man at a store yesterday, his face was so red...
And I asked him, "Are you guys standing in line?"
And he said, "Stand behind me!"

And then after he returned his wife's sexy pajama and got his refund back...

I told him, "Don't forget your keys in the shopping cart."

And he said, "It's my keys!!!"

And left.... he looked like he might kill someone... he was so
angry about something.

And I didn't do anything to him. I think he tried to take out
his anger at me. I don't know.

I have heard from a friend of mine about a girl we used to go to school with. Apparently she has taken to practicing 'voodoo'. She told my friend how she (now this is nasty) peed in her boyfriends drink and how he (nasty) gave her 'oral pleasure' whilst she was menstruating!!!!! She said the 'peedrink' is a way of making the man fall in love with her.




Has anyone heard of things like this? Is it real, or just make believe? What stories have you heard? Do you think voodoo can affect you if you dont believe in it?

why are black people so intent on keeping racism and hate and segregation alive? they always try to blame it on whitey and its almost as if white people have become an easy scapegoat but dont complain about racism being alive and well when your culture is the one doing it!
