i am a redneck and people say, o you are one of them.
I don't get it what is wrong with us ?
just because we aren't going through life in a rush.

Some people think rednecks typically have just one way of doing things and they're not typically open minded about the way other people live. Nascar and wrestling are pretty boring, too. I guess people relate hicks and rednecks with Nascar, wresting, beer-guzzlers with pot-bellies and beat their wives and don't care for their kids. Country music always on, life in a trailer, truck and a few cars on the lawn. Single-shot rifle and a one-eyed dog. Everyone's a god-fearing, bible beating gay-bashing republican.
I know some hicks who are NOT like that, but I was just trying to answer the question. NOT TO OFFEND, but I know what some people have against hicks.

I am not sure that you understand the general perception of what a "redneck" is.
It is not about going through life in a rush. That is called "layed back".
Do some research.

I agree. As for myself, i'm fairly a hillbilly, yet I also am a veteran of the Korean "police action" (serving interior the US Air stress), carry a BA degree in Sociology, all route artwork for a draw close's degree in practise (all yet dissertation), 2 lifetime instructor certificate in Missouri to coach Social study on the secondary factor (grades 9-12) and particular practise grades 7-12 which I did for a number of years in 3 different colleges, and outfitted the particular practise branch in a huge intense college, I evaluate myself no longer purely a hillbilly, yet a southerner and a redneck, too, yet no longer the style they teach in Branson, Mo. (they're only clowns, playing to a crowd of "furriners" vacationing Silver dollar city or song shows for leisure). satisfied trails.

well i am a redneck too and proud of it.some people think we are all stupid,backwards,inbred hicks who are too dumb to come in out of the rain it is a kind of stereotype not much you can do about it .there is nothing wrong with us we are no different than people anywhere else we have our good our bad our really bright and really stupid like people everywhere.people often try to judge what they dont understand.good luck.

some people are just bigots... i get made fun of for being from Tx and having Hick as a name, people just need to be educated and stop trying to be superior to others with name calling.

they just don't understand you guys, my husband is absolutely gorgeous and wonderful, i'm from NY and I met him in hickory NC, he is hardworking, honest and genuine, a quality rare in men, i call him my little redneck, you should be proud of who you are, i like southern guys because their not prissy like many men these days
