Being on my Path wholeheartly for 7 years, I tried to relate my experience of what he was doing and the "ills" it had caused me. I became overbearing and pressed my point with a self-righteous ferver that I felt justified in persuing. After all, he was a good friend and the harm that I found was great. He looked at me and with great tenderness and patience said:

"Please, let me relish in the agony of my own defeat."

I don't know where he got that quote, guess I could look it up, but...

Just in a introspective mood today.

Like Larry and others in this section. You all are treading on some thin spiritual ice with the God who created you. Consider yourself rebuked.

Sounds to me like the worms are they only thing that doesn't die.
yet today we don't see any place like that in Jersaleum.
Is that where they were? The carcasses of the men will lay there forever? That doesn't make any sense. Why would anything repulsive be in the paradise earth?

By this I mean, was religion a form of primative law in order to control the masses and develop a civilisation as the rulers of the time saw fit?

i've read articles as of late that say so...... claiming that beauty makes the woman more likely to "escape" men not good enough to breed with etc... and makes her options more, higher in number and higher quality.... opening up the women to men in other countries, races etc...... what do you think? and do you feel women are becoming "more beautiful? as even scientific american magazine has purported. sorry if its anti feminist and chauvenistic!! ... but in most parts of the world 90% women do still depend on men and do not go to work.... this is a biololgy/science question. not a social one...thanks!!! :) an evolutionary response. wrong or right I DO feel that a womans beauty opens up more options for her around the world in almost any situation...... they even say an infants "cuteness" helps its survival...thanks.

Note: I realize cannibalism is illegal and am not saying anyone should break the law.

Think about it. In times past canibalism was no big thing. Warroirs ate the livers of their defeated enemies. In some African tribes, the younger members eat the brains of their elders. New Guinea tribesmen are said to practice it still. The Donner Party, the soccer team trapped in the Andes, etc. all had to resort to it. Even the prominent philosopher Dr. Anton LaVey engaged in a cannibal meal on at least 1 occasion that we know of (there were probably more).
Think of the benefits to society if it were legalized. The prisons could be emptied, we could end welfare reciepients by using them for the only thing they're worth. No one has every really exploerd the health benefits of such a diet. Remeber the story a few years ago when a German man ate another man because it was his wish to die that way? Even the court had to agree no murder was committed in that case.
When you look at it that way...

I know that not everyone does this but this must have been the way I was taught at school. To me, titles always seem wrong when that aren't written this way:

E.g. "This is the Title of My Latest Question"

So, why are 'is', 'the' and 'of' not capitalised?

Anyone have any ideas?

Job 14;13 he asked to go to hell because he was hurting.
if hell is worse why did he want to go there. Did he think he could get out of there?
What about Jesus? He went to hell Acts 2:25 but God didn't leave him in hell, he got out. What is hell anyway?

Eccl 9:5 says they are unconscience,
Psalms 146:4 his spirit goes out he goes back to his ground and his thoughts perish.
Ezekiel 18:4 the soul that is sinning it will die.
God told Adam he would return to the dust.
Where did this belief in hell come from? Doesn't this make God sound cruel?
