I only know a few hundred, and some are good people, some aren't.
And yes, it can be spelled moslems, or muslims or even referred to as muhammedans. It's hard to transliterate Arabic script directly into English. Feel free to pick your own vowels, and Mahomet has a number of spellings.
The characters that transliterate into S L M basically means peace. Jerusalem actually means city of peace, if you can believe that.
Islam means submission, and Moslem or Muslim means those who have submitted. Therefore, there is something or someone they have submitted to. I am quite capable of thinking for myself.
I'm not really into submission or domination. They have special clubs for that sort of thing.

I know that the vast majority of moslems are a kind gentle people who are generous of spirit and decent. And that they are just as prone to radical extreme expressions of political and religious ideals as Americans are. Right now the US seems willing to blindly follow our president even if it means waging an unjust war in Iraq and condoning torture. And by the way, I think either spelling of moslem is correct.

hello mr why not ask don! how dare you! what right do you have stating that my religion Islam has errors, who are you? to say that every religion have there errors and that the Quran has been plagarised, maybe you have no self respect or self worth, but that gives you no right to put any religion down or crtitisize what they mean, u are not god you are not a junge of any religion people like you cause religious hatred by publicating **** like that on the internet, I am proud to be a muslim and have respect for every religion, it is not the good muslim peoples fault that Islam has been interpreted wrongly to cause wars! I am and all muslims are against wars appart form the ones that cause wars, they are not known or classed as muslims!!! all muslims come in peace the ones that dont ARE NOT MUSLIMS!!!!

Muslims. I don't have an opinion. They are people. I don't think about what people are. I just don't care. Generally they leave me alone, just like most Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindi's, and everyone else. They mostly just want to be left alone.
If your talking about the radical ones, they should be put on a field with all the radical Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindi's, and all the others, given sticks and allowed to fight it out. When they're done there should only be a few left and we can ignore them.

see..yu started this.look how ppl are fighting over religion.
they are very sensitive issues and shud be handled with care.and asking about them is sure can create some misunderstandings.
ppl can go to ne extent.

i have the same opinion abt muslims as i have for yur religion.

asalamo aleykom warahmadulah wa barakedo. ana shaido leh il leh il Allah Mohamed Rasul ulah. I think Muslims due to this problem with terrorists, who are not Muslims, have to consider that we are the mirror of Islam. We should respect our holy book and show people that Islam is love and no war. We have to remember that did our prophet too, he was always afraid to blame himself so that he could always be a good example.

Moslems are people of faith just as Christians, Buddist, or those who practice Judiasm. We must remember that people who practice a particular faith are not all the same --- but the faith itself when taught and practiced as prescribed remains unchanging.

There are good ones and bad. Remember yesterdays when the Christians used to kill and mutilate all religions unless they converted to Catholicism? The European Inquisition and the elimination of millions of American Indians. We learned it at school, remember.

They're human beings who embrace Islam as their religion. And because they are HUMAN BEINGS, they're susceptible in making mistakes just like any other people in other religions' do. I'm a Muslim and I thank God I was born into a Muslim family. But I'm sad because so many people misunderstand about Islam.
