why do people that dont believe in god or prayer even answer questions pertaining to the subject i just looked at a question about a lady in the hospital that had been beaten by her ex boyfriend and the person who ask the question ask for our prayers for her friend who apparently she loves very much one answer really upset me the guy said no he wouldnt pray for the girl the woman needed support not a view from a non believer who has no idea about the power of prayer they expect christians to respect them why cant they respect christians

Today my friend & I were having a conversation & I decided to let him know that I don't really believe in God (I used to, but as I got older I started doubting my religious beliefs & whether God really exists or not)...

My family is Catholic, & although I used to go to church frequently (voluntarily) as a child, things have changed so much since then...

Well, when I told my friend that I'm an Agnostic (although I'm still confused), he got really mad & said that I'm the Devil...& now he won't talk to me...

It really hurts because I don't have many REAL friends just as it is & I want to keep the few I already have...

Plz don't tell me that if he can't accept me for being myself, then he's not really my friend (& suggest that I stop being friends with him) because I really want to have him as a friend...

I really need some advice as to what I should do...:(

What qualities made the Sabbath "only" for the Jews? I am referring specifically to the seventh-day Sabbath mentioned in Exodus 20. I am NOT talking about the feasts and sabbath days mentioned in Leviticus 23.

Here is my point, if the Sabbath was for the Jews, then all the Commandments of GOD were for the Jews. Does that make sense? For that matter, JESUS' ministry was not for Christians, but, for the Jews. Since JESUS came to appeal to the House of Judah.
How does one explain Acts 13:42-44? Luke 4:16? etc.

Does the Bible call any other day holy, blessed, and sanctified?

In the KJV, there are only eight references to Sunday. Sunday is called "first day of the week". None of the verses change that day!

There is much more that can be said.

I know that CHRIST was raised from the dead on Sunday. Where does the Bible call that day Holy?

Man's tradition calls that day holy, however, GOD's WORD DOES NOT!!!

"REMEMBER" says the Commandment!!!

Whether its in the elevator or in line at the grocery store, people talk on their cell phones. Often about very personal matters and mostly in a much louder voice than they would use to speak to someone in person. The hands free models are the worst - people absolutely shout when using them. It's extremely irritating.

My last two cats have had vaguely Arabic names (Shaheen and
Khaleha) and I'd like to name my new cat with the Arabic or
Hebrew word for 'faith'. I'm not necessarily looking for 'faith' in
the religious sense, more of a sense of confidence, if there are
different words.
