Here's a little imaginary scenario. Let's say that we go back to when you were an infant. Unfortunately, both of your parents die a few days after you are born. Then a loving atheist family adopts you. They raise you well and treat you just like their own children. You go through life with their teaching, remaining an atheist until you die. And while you were alive, you never did drugs, always obeyed the law, remained abstinant until after you were married, and were, in general, a really good person. My question is, would your God forsake you for this? Do you think that God would send you to hell for being raised not believing in him?





I do not mean any harm or offense by this question, I'm just curious as to how you will respond. I have many self-proclaimed jesus freak, born-again Christian friends.

I've never understood this. The monarch of Austria-Hungary was an Emperor, the monarch of small Japan was an Emperor, plus many others. But in the British Empire, the monarch was still referred to as "Queen/King" in common parlance. (I know they had a secondary title of "Empress/Emperor of India".) Why, especially when 25% of the world was part of the Empire, didn't the royal family use the title of "Emperor/Empress"? I used to think it required a grant from the vatican, (which wouldn't happen in an Anglican country), but that doesn't explain Japan and other much smaller monarchies having Emperors while the huge British Empire and subsequent Commonwealth has "merely" a Queen.
I think the history, wide-ranging influence and huge landmass of the Commonwealth more than justifies an "Empress".

I mean, people all across the board SUCK. Black, White, Yellow, rich, poor, tall, short, Muslem, Christian, Jew. Everyone seems to be acting like such a bunch of assholes. Why is that? Is that really the human condition? People are ignorant, selfish, hateful, short-sighted & mean? Why?

You MUST change completely to a very different religion. Totally immerse yourself and take in their customs, by abandoning your previous beliefs, marrying within their group, attend all services for the rest of your life. Would you do it?
i.e. Muslim to Jew
Fundamentalist Christian to Atheist
Atheist to Hasidic Jew etc.

The title of the monarch who "rules" monaco is called a Prince. If he's the highest level of royal in that country, why isn't he a king? I understand that Monaco is a "Principality", with a Prince as monarch, but why can't they declare themselves a Kingdom and give the Prince a promotion? Does it require a pass from the vatican or what?
