Would like to know how to meanifully forecast exchange rate in between USD and Indian Rupee, both in abosulte terms and in PPT (purchasing power parity), say for next 30 years.
I know this is little difficult question but any theoretical suggestions to calculate this would be useful. India is growing at 8% annually and is expected to continue at that pace. Inflation rate is around 5.5% in India.

What are the chances of counterculture movements like buynothingchristmas.org, Christmas Resistance, and Buy Nothing Day succeeding and changing society? You hear reports about all this and chain stores being banned, the economy changing, etc.

I am trying to change the Western idea that 'time equals money' in a debate, but I can't think of many instances when it is not true. Except that the more time you spend making money, the more you spend, which in turn, leads you back to needing to make more time to make money to feed the cycle.
thanks all you philosophical people!:)
