I can keep in touch with friends from other states that I would otherwise never be able to talk to, I live alone so it gives me people to talk to (chat), game playing, you can do things without having to get dressed and go to the library (research, etc)..even at times when library is closed..I shop online so I don't have to fight the crowds and rude salespeople and customers, I pay bills onine...saves time and postage
