religion has been around for thousands of years before "evolution", so why is it that we have spent the past few decades following a man that said we evolved from monkeys. "because it makes more sense to you!?"

For my Anth major class we have to look into a career path for a final project. I'm kind of stuck because up into now all my career planning has been for my other major and I never really gone into one. I guess I'd be interested in something involving Cultural Anthropology, like doing social research, studying other cultures or the interaction of other cultures, something to that extent. Is there a practical career path in the field that utilizes those things?

I am an agnostic at the most, its hard for me to believe the bible but is the idea of being good to another human just because you think its right a natural human thought. For example, did slave owners free the slaves (before civil war) because they just saw a black guy who just a good guy who deserved to have a decent life jsut like themself or was it fear of the afterlife. What do you guys think.

I suspect that it is. If so we all need to recognize that we may have that little evil deep within us and suppress it as best we can. Perhaps it relates to the need to protect fruitful territory from strangers when we were tribesmen.

Libs and scientists claim that we came from monkeys, and that God did not make us, yet of all the monkeys in the world not one has ever turned into a human being in recorded history. If this evolution thing is true why don't we see monkeys still turning into humans?

Considering there was probably a lot of overlap between the existence of different Homo species, homids and homo sapiens. And that they probably existed together for amazingly long periods of time. There must have been some degree of cooperation? How do you think the homo sapians were able to relate to these other species?
