Hello,

I have a question for people who have graduated with a major in anthropology but are working outside the field of anthropology. Meaning people who did not go to grad school but are working for insurance companies, marketing, etc. My question is what jobs are the most accommodating for anthro majors outside of the field of anthropology? More specifically what companies look for anthro majors. Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer my question.

Brett.

Can we make one united WORLD? no more states, countries? No more passports ? One commun langauge? Mix all the cultures and come up with a new commun one? Why not one commun religion? No rules? More freedom? ... Would it make peace and hapiness or would it cause more wars and fight?

Why in spite of all the advancement in social sciences, psychology and Anthropology; We as humans tend to grow just more apart and the rift widens as time passes? Is it our human nature, conflict of interests or just my pessimism lol? I do believe in Anthropology as a way to promote understanding and to bring the different people of the world closer but why isn't that happenning !!!

Call this question what you want, but I am curious as to whether civilizations like this still exist and where. My question was inspired by that credit card commercial where the man takes his family on vacation to an island where there is a tribe of indeginous people.

Basically they were at a stone age level of development when Europeans settled the Western Hemisphere. Europeans Had much more advanced technology, but were at the same level of advancement when the Native American's ancestors arrived across the Bering Straite land bridge. Why do you think that is?

I've always wondered what tribal life was like. I'm curious as to how relationships work within in a tribe. Obviously, it's a little more personal than living in a town or city.

Do tribal people have homes which consist of a father and a mother and their children? What do tribal people do when they're not out hunting and gathering?

What level of knowledge and understanding of the world do they have? What concerns them through life besides survival?

How do they compare to people who live modern lives?

Some say we evolved others say we were created by God. I believe God created us because;
A/ you cant have something from nothing.
B/ if you had all the parts to a car for example disassembled in your garage those parts couldnt merge and put themselves together properly to make a car. Even if you had the parts where did those parts come from each one has a unique function, they need each other to work properly. Only an intelligent designer could put it together to make it work.

Our human body is the same way, so many different complex parts. If theyre not put together properly or there are some missing it does work right. If we evolved from monkeys where did the monkeys come from, they didnt come from nothing someone had to have created them once again another complex creation. And why are there still monkeys?
What do you believe in? Evolution, the big band theory or God?

What does it mean to be human?
What differenciates man from the animal kingdom?
What gives man the right to degrade other species who lie in his path?

Two arms, two legs, two eyes and two ears?
Apes are beings who possess these characteristics. So why are we or why do we think we're more superior than them?
What about someone who has loss one of their limbs. Does that mean they are less human?

What do you think defines a human?
Memories? Mind? Conscience? Personality?

If HGT can transfer genetic material to another organism that is not its offspring, why can't we take, lets say the Flatworm or something else that can be split in two without dying, and make real sense of evolution. Instead of waiting millions of years, hell we claim to be the smartest (Well, I'm not THAT smart, but smart enough to think of it) of our primitive ancestors, why are OUR TROOPS coming home confined to wheelchairs or without limbs. (I haven't forgotten about the HGT or the flatworm) I mean if "WE" can fund a war of none of "OUR" concern (I pay my taxes) "WE" can damn show fund research to "OUR AMERICAN SCIENTIST" to dig deep into this matter. I'm pretty sure if they put maggots & leeches inya to cure ya, then why not dwell on this for awhile. I mean come on people. This is not some type of Frankenstein stuff I'm talking about either, this my very well be able to...... So my question is why are we wasting time on small stuff when we can___ (Make evolution work for us!)
