You aren't looking hard enough. The human race is amazing. OK we destroy a lot of stuff and kill each other because we have a different idea about what might happen after we're dead but we do amazing stuff too. People will risk their lives for no reward at all to help another human being or even an animal. Don't look at the bad stuff in isolation, look at the good stuff too. The human race isn't so bad.

Yes, Nikki, off course there is a better race. We, as humans, are lucky that we never have to accept a given situation. We have imagination, phantasy, transcendence. Over time we can make the impossible possible. See how society has developed to make things more fair, life more comfortable for most of us. The better race is the human race without its present shortcomings, like its aggressiveness to people who are seen as "other." I think there is also progress in the self undertanding of humanity. More and more we will have to act like a unity, because no single state, however powerful, can solve todays global problems like the equal sharing of resources, economic development, the environment, global warming. So, Nikki, wè are the better race, if we want it and make the effort.
