Just being nosey...

I always carry my wallet, front door keys, mobile phone and watch with me. I invariably have a bag - that has my mp3 player, digital camera, USB key, work keys and anti-bacterial hand gel (for work).

About the only two things always in my pocket are a handkerchief and a small Swiss Army pocket knife. Very handy, that knife. I don't understand why carrying a pocket knife has become unfashionable.

I was on a Halloween hayrack ride a couple years ago - mostly young couples with one or two kids. We'd gotten three hayracks and we ended up with several dozen couples participating. Afterwards, we had a weenie/marshmallow roast planned, but had failed to stock enough sticks for everybody to use in roasting. No problem, just cut a few small branches, smooth off the twigs, and whittle a point on them - right? That's what we did, but only two of us had pocket knives along to do this with. The other person, besides me, was a lady who happened to have a teeny penknife in her purse!

On planes, of course, my knife has to be packed away in a checked suitcase. Inconvenient, because I prefer to travel with just a carry-on bag, but I understand why things are that way these days.

Besides the usual - keys, wallet, phone - I now carry a pacifier in my pocket. There's no telling when my toddler will need a fix.

If you literally mean AT ALL TIMES then it's memories of places, people, experiences, thoughts etc.
If you mean materially/physically then it's got to be the mobile phone, and keys.

I would suggest that all of us carry all the time, till the day we die,. our genes, which make up for who we are and what we are. This genetic structure connects us to all our ancestors before us in time and to all those who come after us, in a very real way. If we are aware of the meaning of this, it strikes us in awe. We have, as individuals and as human beings, a great responsibility.
