Is the information arriving at the brain different depending on the colour of the eye and does that mean perception is all conventions? I have often noticed that I tend to prefer people as friends who have my eye colour, although in a Freudian tradition I should perhaps be looking for the other? Does eye colour influence the judgement of visual beauty? Is there a sociology of eye colour? Eye colour chauvinism? Does trying to avoid thinking in essentialist patterns mean one should cling as closely as possible to established conventions? Do this kind of essentialism and enlightened thought contradict each other? Are coloured contact lenses meaningful? Do blind people direct their sympathy differently from people who can see?

There is a belief that is becoming more popular in the U.S. and parts of Europe that the ancient pharoahs of Egypt were Black. The contradicting beliefs between historians and the media is causing a divide on whether or not this is true.

Many people believe that King Tut was black based on the fact that several statues of him found in his tomb were black. And they accuse the historians of distorting history and decieving people to believe that the pharoahs were white. (Which I don't believe because even if they were white they would be Arab not Black) There are many arguements for both sides of the debate.

First of all there is no proof of skin tone. (So it doesn't really matter what color they were; we'll never really know) Many of the pictures and statues of the kings and queens were several different shades and they were all based on political correctness and what the common belief of the ideal look was at the time.

You know the show with Tia Carrere? The one where she and her parter go and find Relics. Thats what I want to be when I get older. I know there is archeology, but I heard that is a lot of paper work and small work when what I crave is adventure. Now I'm not saying I want to be running from armed gunmen and the parts of the show that are obviously not true to life. But what kind of job would be close to what Sydney does?

I grew up hearing the Genesis account of the fall with the serpent and Adam and Eve, and I also read recently about the Buddhist (and I'm assuming Hindu) account of how humans for one thing, lost their natural luster and developed a dependency on what later evolved into rice when one of the sexless flying self illumined self fed creatures ate for the first time. (The Story of Buddhism by Donald S. Lopez Jr. p. 20). I'm very interested in how stories of the origins of the present spiritual state of humanity came about.

how do you think humans will evolve in the next 100,000 years? 1 million years?

If you don't believe in evolution, where do you think humans will be technologically speaking in these time frames?

I'm not looking for a religious debate, just your thoughts on how humans will evolve physically or technologically hundreds of thousands of years from now.

By that, I mean to ask if the fact that Noah had three sons and they started three major human civilizations is there anykind of evidence to prove that, or would you have to trace everything back to the tower of Babel?
I've heard that there are three major ones - indus valley, african, and the middle east
and that europeans actually branched off of either the middle eastern or indus valley cultures
man, I worded this badly
What are the major cradles of civilization? Or is there just one? I guess there would be a few minor ones that branch off of a major one, or a few major ones that would branch off of another major one that would hypothetically have built the tower of Babel.
If anyone has a good idea on this and isn't confused by what I put up there please tell me.

I can see myself getting crap from the atheists and the Christians on this one, but I know someone out there has a good answer.
Here, I'll say what some Atheists will say "No, the Tower of Babyl never existed because the Bible is a bunch of crap, now go burn in the Hell that I don't believe exists."
and now for the Christians: "No, it was definitely erected in the Tigris-Euphrates crescent valley or northern Africa, so go burn in Hell for not believing what I believe the Bible to say."
If you don't have a more creative answer than these two that won't make me laugh then please don't reply. Unless you really want to.
