I was able to get to the article by typing out the entire address by hand. Apparently when you typed it out it only gave a partial link. As to your question I think it is possible that the Norse could have traded with the Incans so it is possible that the remains are those of an Incan man. However I would say that the scientists excavating the site should have some sort of a dna test done on the bones if possible and have a forensic anthropologist examine the skull and do a picture of what his face would have looked like before they jump to conclusions about his ancestry.

You have to take the spaces out so that the link looks like this:

It is quite the puzzle, it seems that the Norse Vikings travelled a lot father then the Newfoundland settlements of 1000ad and their historic tales, which show evidence of reaching what is today the eastern US seaboard. So this represents them travelling much farther then had been previously assumed and is corroborated in that it does coincide with the end of the golden age of the Norse Vikings who were most active between 800 - 1050 ad. Looks like as their reign of plundering was deteriorating that perhaps this is a sign that they may have been thinking of turning towards diplomacy and foreign relations? A move form pillaging towards an infant stage of mercantilism, so to speak. As would become typical with European mercantilism with Native American groups, however, it looks as though the balance of trade was a one way trip. Alternatively they could have just brought them back as a novelty to create a spectacle at home.

What was that they found in the mummies? Cocaine? If so then the world at one time was traversed and quite popularly at one time. Do not be surprised at the new findings and new technology that advent new ways of thinking that may require a holistic and heartfelt mind change about how reality is understood. Oh, go ahead and be surprised. That's OK

I would love to read the article but it displays an error message.
I have read that people of different races have traveled to the other side of the world and bred with native peoples.
