I'm a 35 year old guy, married happily, no kids, and decent career success. A lot of people would look at me and say "successful happy guy" and I genuinely am. However, I have had recurring dreams of the same "theme" for as long as I can remember...going back to being a kid in grade school. I usually dream it once or twice a month, sometimes more, and sometimes less.

The dreams start out the same, and I am with a mixed group of family, friends and strangers in various settings. As the dream progresses, slowly...one-by-one...the people will "transform" and be taken over by aliens/ghosts/or disease that turn them into evil beings that try to get me. Sometimes it can happen right when I am talking to them.

By the end of the dream I am usually being chased by many of them, and trying to hide in dark corners or behind closed doors. Sometimes I "fly" like Superman in my dreams to get away. I've had this dream several times this week, and it is really nagging me. Thoughts?

I am haveing dreams that I either am pregnant or I have already had a baby. I don't understand why I would be haveing these dreams, for one I am only 14, for another I don't even have a boyfriend to have a baby with. I'm really confused about these dreams. What do you think this means?

When we get sad, we get tears. Why is that? I know that when we get something in our eye, tears help get rid of it, but other than that, what's the purpose?

and until i work through my psychological problems, bpd, im going to have to remain here...i hate the uk , i have lots of online friends in other countries, and now, it just feels like im serving time...putting up with being somewhere i dont wanna be....& its not like i can leave right away because i have to work through my psychological problems, but if i could, id be on a plane tommorrow & i wouldnt return..
i feel very hostile to people here, and who live around me who try to relate to me, who try to profess to know how i feel, what my thoughts are, what im feeling...i just distance myself more from people that do this....im a guy who has strong ideals, who knows what he wants, who knows what people he wants & doesnt want in my life...i cant stand it when people i dont like try to relate to me and infringe upon my life....i think'' no...just no, go away..bye''..
but for some people that just gives them the green light to approach me more & attempt to relate to me.how can i deal

My brother was killed a few months ago and I have been have dreams about him coming back to life. None of the dreams have been scary or sad. It seem in my dreams that my brother tries to walk in these dreams but I have to remind him of his broken legs, and pelvis... I am confused about things I have read about dreams. Because of the job I have, I have went through grief counseling. I have had my time to grieve and accept my brothers death. I just don't understand what these dreams mean.

Just wondering, I lost my father when I was 5 years old. It's weird I have just faint memories...I remember riding on his back (piggy-back). I can't help but to think about him all the time...the what if's drive me crazy...I see a son & his father playing ball in a park...friends that say: "Hey I'll ask my dad"
My mother remarried several years later and he was a good step father...but not the same. They had 2 other kids...not my "real" brother & sister and they would be hurt to hear me say that...I feel like an outsider. My relationship with my step-dad is good...but his love for his 2 kids is really special and very different...I'm the odd man out. I wish I could hear from my dad's old friends...I wish I could hear one of them say...I knew your old man...and man would he be proud of you...I'd give my right arm for that. I have researched everything I can on my dad, I have letters and several things he owned...I feel this missing piece in my life. My dad was a cop.

I've thought of this phrase a lot lately within my own personal relationship struggles, and upon further contemplation I wondered what others thought of this commonly used quip.

If "man" to be taken literally, meaning male not human, does this imply that women are more adaptable/flexible in nature?

Are we? or are we not? why?

or is this statement entirely false?

your thoughts........?

Yes, I know I have a paper due in a week & I never started writing it, but I have all my resources gathered up. This is my 1st time doing an APA-style paper, & I have no idea where to start. I went to the APA site & couldn't find any help. In an APA paper, do we have to write an abstract, methods, results, & discussion? That's what I was reading that's the format.

I've been deeply depressed & can't push myself to begin the paper. It's due next week. I've been procrastinating BECAUSE of my depression, & it feels like I'm mentally blocked from having the ability to do necessary tasks. My friend told me just start up a rough draft & just start writing ANYTHING & then revise it later, using my sources, but I mentally can't even get myself to do that. What is a sample APA paper supposed to look like? I have to do an argumentative paper on the abuse of Benzo's (addictive psych meds). Please give me a link OTHER THAN the APA site that will help me format this paper.

in many societies, especially where i live at the moment (rather not say so i dont offend anyone), you tend to earn respect by the kind of car you drive .. if you have an expensive car, no one tailgates you, no one honks at you .. people stare at you in awe as you hop in your vehicle .. you get a nice huge smile at a drive-in .. however, if you drive something 'cheap', you tend to get judged, no one hesitates to tailgate you, etc ..

in your society, is that how people measure you?
