A uniform electric field exists in the region between two oppositely charged parallel plates 1.70cm apart. A proton is released from rest at the surface of the positively charged plate and strikes the surface of the opposite plate in a time interval 1.57×10−6s .Use 1.60×10−19C for the magnitude of the charge on an electron and 1.67×10−27 KG for the mass of a proton.

Two apples of the exact same mass AND exact same shape grew on the same tree (see details)?

Apple number one grew 5 feet from the ground and apple number two grew 4 feet from the ground. Assuming they are on two different branches, there are no branches or leaves, or anything between the apples and the ground. Nothing or no one lifted the apples, they just grew there and they both have the same mass AND shape, in fact they are identical.

Which apple falls first?

1. Consider the block on a surface below. The coefficient of friction (µ) is 0.20. Block is 20 kg

-------------- F
| Block | --------------------->
--------------

If a 10. N force is applied to the block, what is its acceleration?

How fast will the block be moving if the force is applied for 5.0 s?

How far will the block have traveled during this 5.0 s period?

2. A 70.0 kg box is pulled across a frictionless surface by a 300. N force at an angle of 30° to the horizontal.

What is the normal force on the box?

What is the acceleration of the box in the x-direction if there is no friction?

What coefficient of friction would be required if the box were to move at constant speed?

Cannon fired a ball of mass M = 1 kg with muzzle velocity
v = 500 m/s in due west direction on the equator.
Kinetic energy of the ball is K = mv²/2 = 125kJ.
This energy came from burning 1 kg of gunpowder.

But if we look at this from the North pole, the picture is different:
Initial velocity of the ball is equal to speed of earth rotation:
v = 500 m/s. Final velocity is 500-500 = 0.
Thus cannon ball lost all its initial kinetic energy 125kJ,
and the gunpowder is now gone too.
