i know that a large mass puts a dent in the fabric of space and causes things to move toward it. but if its just a thin layer of the fabric of space, how do you explain the tilt in orbits.and isnt space 3 dimensional? and if the universe is supposed to be a sphere, whats inside? could be a driving mechanism for gravity. or does gravity travel in waves?

An air filled spherical capacitor is constructed with inner and outer shell radii of 6.5 cm and 13.1 cm, respectively. The coulomb constant is 8.98755 X 10^9.
1. Calculate the capacitance of the device. Answer in units of pF.
2. In addition, what potential difference between the spheres results in a charge of 31.4 micro C on the capacitor? Answer in units of kV.

I tried using C= Q / Vab = 4πEo*(r_a*r_b / (r_b - r_a) but that didn't work.

A sphere of mass 20 kg and radius 2 m starts from rest and rotates with a constant
angular acceleration of 4 rad/s2 about a fixed axis through its center. After 4.8 s, what
is the kinetic energy (in kJ) of the sphere?

W = 4
M = 20
R = 2

Krot = 1/2 I W^2, I for a sphere 2/5M*R^2
Replacing I in the equation, Krot = 1/2(2/5M*R^2)W^2
The answer should be 5.9 in kJ. Where did I go wrong? :(

Consider a 2.35 m by 10.0 m housing wall, with a section shown in the diagram.
A builder has the choice of using 1.5 in. by 3.5 in. studs (at $2.30 each; R=4),
or 1.5 in. by 5.5 in. studs (at $4.45 each; R=7). The studs are spaced with a center-to-center distance of 40 cm.
The thinner wall can accommodate R=12 insulation (at $3.30 per m2), whereas the thicker wall can accommodate R=38 insulation (at $6.25 per m2).
Assume that the house is to be built in an area where the average difference between the inside and the outside temperature is 12.0 °C. If the cost of heating is $0.10 per kWh, how long will it take for the homeowner to recoup the extra costs associated with building the better insulated wall? (Enter the number of days.)

Heres a problem I struggle with. If time always existed in the void
then creation is impossible because it would of taken forever to happen (to get to a specific point in time from eternalty). If time only existed post-creation and during then no motion could take place to start its process.

oh and if you build one at least leave a based on Drake Saratoga's Idea's in the instruction manual

I know that as light enters a medium (from a vacuum) its wavelength is reduced and its frequency remains the same, resulting in a slower speed. But, can anybody explain to me exactly how the light is interacting with the atoms or molecules of the medium (whatever medium is preferred for an easy to understand explanation) in order for this to occur.
