Is it true that any atom - besides Hydrogen with ony a proton, the most common isotope, can be split. If a high energy neutron or proton was to impact the nucleus of the atom, coulldn't it theoreticaly be split in two?
I don't meant that fission in the sense of a chian reaction but just splitting a nucleus?

A car traveling at 56 km/h hits a bridge abutment. A passenger in the car moves forward a distance of 69 cm (with respect to the road) while being brought to rest by an inflated air bag. What magnitude of force (assumed constant) acts on the passenger's upper torso, which has a mass of 31 kg?

just help with the equation for it, im trying to find the time taken but i dunno wat equation. well i think if i get hte time then il get the question right lol.

I KNOW you can't survive in space w/o a spacesuit and let's just put aside that fact and answer the question like we CAN live in space.
If you were to fart in space, would it propel you with great force or little force? at a constant speed or otherwise? would your butt explode? if you ignited the fart what would happen? could you use it as fuel for jet suit? could you blow up Jupiter if you lit a match there or even better, Uranus!! :-) any/ all possible answers related to this, please. Please don't be mean and ridicule me or I will report you as spam. I want to know because I'm in middle school.

Okay, just a few simple questions from IPS (Introductory Physical Science)

1) What is the atomic model of matter?

2) Why are fasteners and rings more suitablle for illustrating the atomic model than fasteners and nails?

3) Suppose you did a "decaying" dice experiment by removing the dice showing either a six or a five instead of a six only. How will this effect your half-life? Explain your reasoning.

If anyone understands this, ehhe, shoot away.
