Well, that´s about it, I´d just picked a glass (made of a very thick glass by the way, about 2,1 mm or so) for I was going to have a drink in my place, and then, as soon as I got the glass in my hand, It felt to be actually "undoing" itself into fine grains of glass. The glass was of a fair quality. It had been in my possession for more then ten years and I used it very often, probably everyday, I still have four more just like it. It had absolutely no scratches nor had it ever fallen to the ground or anything that could have compromised it´s physical integrity. When I got the glass I made absolutely no pressure on it, it was empty, for I was going to get a bottle of coke, and then it turned into dust right there in my hand. HELP! WHAT THE *@#$ WAS THAT? I don´t know, I figured it might have something to do with estatic electricity, but I can´t explain it. Can someone tell me what happened?

i know that nasa has a vessel using ion propulsion to move since ion propulsionis self sustaining, in space wouldnt it always pick up speed if left on? couldnt this end up being a time travelling vehicle?

we consider now only the particle aspect of the photon. we know that through an electron and a positron colliding, we get at least 2 photons. does that mean that we can approximate the ray of the photon with the ray of the electron?

I've performed an experiment with oscilloscope, applying 10V P-P sine wave and then plotting the voltage across resistor (current) and voltage across diode (voltage) in XY mode of the oscilloscope. The IV curve in 100Hz was quite different than the IV curve in 5000Hz. Any theoretical explanations.

A) What is the total acoustic power output of the speaker in units of W?
B) At what distance will the intensity be at the pain threshold of 8 W/m^2 (in units of m)?
C) What is the intensity at 12 m (in W/m^2)?

If the design of an inductor calls for 80 turns of .5mm wire around a 40mm OD iron torroidal core, how do I calculate the inductance in mH or uH?

This isn't a homework problem, I'm building a circuit that calls for this inductor and I want to know what the resulting inductance is so that I don't have to build the inductor myself. I want to purchase one pre-wound.

It drops into a ramp of height h.
The ramp forms a trough that guides the ball upward at an angle of theta with respect to the horizontal. At height n, the ramp ends.
At a distance d, there is a landing pad.

If the landing pad is positioned at exactly the right position so that the ball is only traveling horizontally, what is the height of the landing pad above the end of the ramp (a)?

Here's a picture

Calculate the height if h=4m,n=2m amd theta =45 degrees
use the 9.81m/s^2 for gravity.

Always peanut butter&jelly side down for me! You too, I bet! Two insistent theories I've heard: (1) gravity favors the peanut butter&jelly side, makes it tend toward the floor [makes sense] or...(2) bread starts spinning; number of spins leaves peanut butter&jelly side down depending on height of drop [no matter whether peanut-buttered and jellied or not...]

One place you'll find (2) in print is page 91 of "mental_floss presents: ...Condensed Knowledge"
