Penny wishes to take a picture of her image in a plane mirror. if the camera is 1.4 m in front of the mirror, at what distance should the camera lense be focused?

Does this have anything to do with 1/di + 1/do = 1/df ?

The best answer I've had is if you 'burn a log, weigh the ash and subtract that from the weight of the unburnt log'. Seems a bit unpredictable.
Can anything have negative weight? If air has a weight of Zero, then anything lighter than air must have a negative weight? And since Butane gas is heavier than air, does it then have a weight?
Any related information on this topic would be appreciated. Thanks everyone.

A robot arm that controls the position of a
video camera in an automated surveillance
system is manipulated by a servo motor that
exerts a force on a push-rod.
The force is given by
F(x) = x^2 ;
where x is the position of the end of the push-
rod.
If the push-rod moves from x1 = 0 m to
x2 = 12 m, how much work did the servo
motor do? Answer in units of J.

I'm checking out some wilderness guides. I know the theory behind banking a fire--that you cover the coals in ashes, and this keeps them alive until morning. How long can you reasonably expect them to stay alive? Does the size of the coal matter before you bank it? How much ash should you put on? Any other advice?

In the 1950's, an experimental train that had a mass of 15,400 kg was powered across a level track by a jet engine that produced a thrust of 568,000 N for a distance of 459 m. What's the change in kinetic energy (J)? What's the final kinetic energy if the train started from rest (J)? What's the final speed of the train assuming no friction (m/s)?
