I've heard that (IR) is dangerous for eyes!

I don't think so, if it does why there's still people use infra-red device to see things.

No. Infrared heaters do not produce intense enough radiation to harm your eyes. A bit of IR can actually do some good. An IR laser can blind a person in an instant and has been considered as a military weapon to disable rather than kill. The hazard depends upon the power per unit area.

Not at all.

As a matter of fact, in some cases when there is lack of blood supply to the face, Doctors prescribe IR irradiation. It helps in dialating the blood vessels.

I dont think doctors would prescribe it if it was dangerous, would they?

IR (infra-red radiation) is just heat.

UV (ultra-violet radiation) is dangerous. That's at a wavelength you can't see, or feel, but it does damage to skin and retinal tissue.

UV is what causes sunburns, aging spots, and skin cancer.
