then, choose the correct option-
(a) the hollow sphere reaches the bottom first
(b) the solid sphere reaches the bottom with greater speed
(c) the solid sphere reaches the bottom with greater kinetic energy
(d) the 2 spheres will reach the bottom with the same linear momentum.

the correct answer, according to my book, is (b) option......can u explain why....? feel free to use torque, moment of inertia, etc etc....in ur explanation......

Since water is made of H2O lets ask a hypothetical question.I have an area that is devoid of any matter. I add 1000 atoms of Hydrogen and 500 atoms of Oxygen, seperately. Will I come up with water? If not why and if so what bonds the two? If I make the assumption that bonding takes place will I have 500 "droplets" of water or will I just have x random amount of droplets with other individual atoms hanging around?

in a magnetic field, beta radition to the positive side or alpha to the negative side. I would have thought Beta would have gone further seeing as it is lighter but a book says it's Alpha? Is the book wrong as Ive seen Beta go further in many other books? Many thanks

I'm prepping for my A2 Physics practical to be held in 4 days' time. I was wondering what's the simplest way to draw effective arrangements of:

(i) a hall probe (e.g. do i just draw two wires protruding from a cylinder shape - probe - connected in series to a 'datalogger' and in parallel to a power supply? or are more wires needed?)

(ii) double light gates (how many wires do i need? where do they go?)

(iii) Geiger-Muller tube (how many wires needed and what to use to determine count rate)

(iv) platinum resistance thermometer and thermocouple thermometer (how would i draw the shapes of them? are they attached to probes? what are they connected to?)

help with any of the above will be much appreciated!
