The citizens of Paris were terrified during World War I when they were suddenly bombarded with shells fired from a long-range gun known as Big Bertha. The barrel of the gun was 36.6 m long and it had a muzzle speed of 1.41 km/s. When the gun's angle of elevation was set to 45°, what would be the range? For the purposes of solving this problem, neglect air resistance.

Solve the initial value problem and determine how the interval in which the solution exists depends on the initial value C.

y' = -4t / y y(0) = C

Ok, i know how to solve this problem. Its just the other parts of the question that i dont get.

1. "determine how the interval on which the solution exists depends on the initial value C"
How do I find the interval??
How does the interval rely on the initial value C??

please help.

A helicopter is flying horizontally at 7.7 m/s and an altitude of 16 m when a package of emergency medical supplies is ejected horizontally backward with a speed of 13 m/s relative to the helicopter. Ignoring air resistance, what is the horizontal distance between the package and the helicopter when the package hits the ground?

I have been told the spin has nothing to do with gravity so what if the spinning stopped. To quote a song "The end of the world as we know it" would it in fact be the end? Could life survive this?

You know how there's the three dimensions of height, width, and depth, and the 4th dimension of time, as well as numerous other theories? Well, I have a theory about the definition of another dimension, but in order to make that theory legitimate, I must know if the term "dimension" only applies to location, or if it is more flexible than that. Just so you know, the dimension that my theory is about is more based on quality than location, if that makes any sense to you. I cannot go into any more detail with my theory, for I'm afraid that if I do, some jerk might steal my theory by claiming it as their own, and take all the credit. Also, in order to number my dimension with a number that hasn't already been taken (assuming that it is legitimate), I must know how many different dimensions (theoretical or not) have been found/discussed. Note that I am a philosopher, not an actual physics professor or anything like that, so keep your answer understandable, okay? Thanks.

Isnt the energy that it took to assemble the mass together equivalent to the energy to break it appart?and when it breaks apart teh components of the mass will fly at the speed of light?
so if power is given to a mass to move at the speed of light it would take along time to disassemble at that point the mass structure wouldnt it break apart with the energy of mc^2.?

have you heard of any other statistically possible scenerios that could happen but never do?
