If its legit and the gov is letting people know about it does that mean they have known about it for years upon years? I mean the US gov hasnt exactly been known for letting the cat out of the bag on secret projects especialy one as important as quantum physics would be... And yes I am extreamly paranoid person here so it could be that taking over. Oh and side question... What do you think the effects of quantum physics will be on our future?

Does the water level IN THE POOL go up, down, or stay the same.

This is one of my all time favorite physics questions. Robert Oppenheimer got it wrong. You must justify your answer for credit. First one wins 10.

I'm working on a problem involving coffecient of friction and a sloped surface, and I was wondering if the coefficient changed depending on where the person was on the slope. Here's the problem for reference:

A skier traveling 12.0 m/s reaches the foot of a steady upward 18 degrees and glides 12.2 m up along this slope before coming to rest. What was the average coefficient of friction?

Now, does the 12.2 m matter in this problem to determine the coefficient of friction? No matter how I look at it:

u = Ff / Fn = F parallel / F perpendicular = tan (pheta)

I would also like to know if there is a difference between "coefficient of friction" and "average coefficient of friction". Please help~!

Hi, I'm going into AP physics this year, and I know this may sound like a beginner question to some...but I have to know for sure.

When I first learned D vs T graphs and then learned to draw them into V vs T and then A vs T, I was using straight slopes. However, AP physics presents the lines as curved. If the D vs T graph has curves in it, will the V vs T and A vs T graphs have curves in them as well?

I live one street away from a regional airport and small jets take off over my house every day. I've always been a little nervous about this as most small jet crashes are on takeoff, not on landing. The airport has altitude restrictions on takeoff, but I'm wondering if the pilots are adhering to those policies as they seem a lot lower to me. I was trying to figure out how I can tell how high they are when they pass over my house but can't find anything on the web or on here to help me figure it out. Can anyone help me with this?
