". . .such as bacteria, have a complexity of about 10 million bits"

My question is strange, I don't know how else I could put it at the moment. How does one measure complexity in bits, or convert complexity to bits?

This is for research for my novel. I've asked some laser lights questions awhile back on how they worked and if they give shock. How do you reflect laser light or turn them off at a cave, which is boobytrapped by them, when there's no deactivation/activation device in sight? Spray from aerosol can? Rocks thrown at center of laser lights? Reflection from mirror, without breaking the lights, not starting fire or causing a cave-in? Are they other ways? I'm interested to know. I believe there's a similar question asked before.

Its used for moving small amounts of liquid, its used by squeezing the end of it. I think its a 'perpet' or something but i don't know how its spelt. First correct wins a best answer.

this week ive found 3 ladybugs inside the house, 1 dead 2 flying around, each one in different days. i would have never imagined to see them at this time of the year especially now that winter is beginning. so my first question is, how on earth did they get in?? its 57F degrees here in florence, italy and the windows and doors are always shut closed, how did they get in??

my other question is, did i do the right thing...? 2 of the ones that were alive i softly picked up and placed on a plant outside. the other day i kept thinking...oops did i do the right thing?..i mean the reason why they are in is because they cant stand the cold or am i wrong? my house is packed with plants all alive and well, were they living off the plants i have here inside? what do they eat? did i kill them setting them outside..??

last question, simple and easy, do they eat off fruits as well? the dead one got trapped inside a bowl of apples sealed and closed. do they eat fruits?

thanks!

I have read about the CVD (Chemical Vapour Deposition) and various other reent techniques, and wondered what it would cost for the actual process itself, albeit for industrial diamonds I think.

I've heard that it actually takes more energy to boot up a computer or switch on a lightswitch, etc, than it does to leave whatever it is running for an hour. Would I actually be saving energy by leaving my computer on all the time?
