I think you've reached a plateau with your questions which might be an uphill struggle and a real downer. But on the up side you may get mountanous results and reach your peak.

This major problem was first encountered when traveller were in Scotland ...... yes Scotland where they were advised that this occured because of wild haggis roaming the countryside. The haggis has evolved with 2 long and 2 short legs to enable them to cope with hills going both up and down - so...... now what do you say to that ????

This is a very deep question and deserves some serious consideration. I think it may depend on whether you're looking up at it or looking down at it. Then again it may depend on how tall you are and how high the hill is. I don' t think it's got anything to do with your sexual orientation but it may have .

What a stupid question to ask, if you are facing the bottom of the hill and you want to climb it, then it is uphill, whilst on top, turn around and you go downhill. Cricky what school did you go to?

Some hills go upward due to the TECTONIC MOVEMENTS that push upward the mountains. Example : Himalayas
Some hills go downward due to erossion and the movement of tectonic plates under them slip downwards so they go downwards

its a common problem throughout the world that most countries and international agencies do not seem to have resolved, however, i have a sneaky feeling the Dutch are leading the way as all their hills go straight on

It's the same with corners on roads!
On my way to work there are more right turns than left,
however on the way back there are more left turns,
very strange.
It seems some idiot is changing them whilst I'm at work.
