The exact question:

What is the greatest possible number of points of intersection between a parabola and a circle?

The answer is 4, but I don't know how to get it.

I tried equating the circle and parabola equations, but that gave me 2 points, not 4.

Thanks!

I need to get the slope to be somehow related to v. the slope should either be v or ln v or log v or something. remember i need this to be in the form y=mx+b.

so far...
ln u = ln 2 + 2 (ln vx).

There are ten, the poster is 28" by 18.5" inches, and I want the pictures to be all the same size. I also want the poster set up like this: first column, 2 pictures, second column, 3 pics, 3rd, 2 pics, and 4th 3 pics. I want spaces b/w all the pics, and no pictures can be touching the edge, there needs to be a space, albeit a tiny one. Feel free to give answers in centimeters. THIS IS NOT HOMEWORK, IT IS A REAL POSTER FOR AN EXTRACURRICULAR. Thanks.
