To expand on my earlier question about finding unknown angles, I had one more question. I have a triangle similar to my last question. One length is known, with the opposite angle unknown. Another angle is known, with an unknown opposite side. One side and its opposite angle are both unknown. I need to find the unknown angle whose opposite side is also unknown, given the known variables. How can I find this angle?

We've never done any sort of problem like this, and it's the beginning of the year and I'm getting extremly confused...

1) Look up the Taylor (or Maclaurin) series for the following functions:

e^x

cos x

sin x

This "series" is an infinitely long polynomial that ("strangely") approximates a function that is not a polynomial. For now, you can just copy them down. Try graphing the first 4 or 5 terms of the polynomial if you want to see how they behave.

So now I've tried looking up a bunch of stuff, but I keep getting extremely confused!!

where the question marks are, I need to put numbers that i thought multiplied together and added together were supposed to equal -30 and 25.

I need help finding the y-intercepts, and the vertexs.

1) find the vertex and the y-intercept.
y=2x²+4x+2

2) find the vertex and the y-intercept.
y=-3x²+12x-9

How do you find it? Show/work explain please.
3)
For the 1) I got 2(x²+2x+1) is y=2(x+1)²+1 for the vertex. Which is (1,-1) but its wrong why?

Really the domain and range for this function, whether it is even or odd and what the graph looks like. Also what is the limit as the function approaches infinity.

ok so the problem is x^2-4x-5 (factor the trinomial)
this is my work:
i multiplied -5 by 1 and got -5 and then:
(x^2+1x)-(5x-5)
x(x+1)-5(x-1)
(x-5) + ?
my book says the answer is (x-5)(x+1). my question is why did they choose the x+1 over the x-1???
