1. The bus traveled 2*R miles in the first 2 hours, and
1*(R-10) miles the third hour, so the bus traveled 2*R + R - 10 = 3*R - 10 miles.

2. x^0 = 1. (I assume you are using degree measure.) Then the complemen is 90 - 1 = 89 degrees, and the supplement = 180 - 1 = 179.

3. Hint: the three consecutive odd integers are x - 4, x - 2, and x.

4. 40*S + 25*(3S) cents. Now convert to dollars.

5. You should see what's going on by now.
