I've lost my calculator operation manual for the TI-92 Plus calculator. Does anyone know of a good URL for this calcuator's functions and operations? I can get the device to do all of the basic arithmetic operations and thngs like LOG and Ln functions. However, with Trig. operations and transendental functions, all I get is the equation organized and presented in symbolic form. Even when I make the equation equal to some variable, it doesn't give a "result" answer. I feel like there is one more step in the operation that I need to do but I have no idea what that step is.

If anyone has experience with this calculator, maybe you can tell me what it is that I'm doing wrong. That would be a really big help.

Thanks in advance.

the equation:

f(x)= (x^2 + x - 2) / (x^2 - x - 6)
to get the VA i set the denominator equal to zero...

x^2 - x - 6 = 0
(x -3) ( x +2) = 0
3, -2.
so there is a VA at 3 and a VA at -2. but when i graphed it on my calculator...the graph went through the VA. is this becasue there is a hole at -2?

Like the opposite of +1 is a -1
but what can the opposite of 0 be? It's not a negative or a positive.

2(3x-2)+4(x+1)=5x+30
solve for x

i get
2(3x-2)+4(x+1)=5x+30
6x - 4 + 4x + 4 = 5x+ 30
There is a -4 and a +4 on the same side of the equation now, with no brackets, they therefore cancel (-4 + 4 = 0)
6x + 4x = 5x+ 30
10x = 5x +30
10x-5x = 30
5x=30
X=6

thanks ever so much

I want to get good marks this year, and one of my courses includes Calculus. Is it as hard as I've heard throughout my academic career? I mean, Calculus is synonomous with really hard or impossible work.

I'm not a math genius or a ridiculously smart person, but I'm fairly good at math, and can catch on to concepts well enough. How will I do in Calculus?

Also, is it fun? I've heard it's fun if you like math, and I like math.
