A farmer had a triangular plot measuring 15m, 20m, 25m.the sides of the triangle. He kept his three horses attached to three poles at the vertices of this plot by a rope 7 m. How much of the plot is ungrazed (grass not eaten)?

What method is used to work out this question? (please dont give me the answer, just the best way to work it out!);

a guy is an air-traffic contoller who controls the airspace between Cairns and Coolangatta.
Part of his job is to give instructions to pilots as to the path along which they fly.
He has control of a plane flying an altitude of 30 000 feet.
He orders the plane to descend by 3 000 feet at an angle of 30 degrees.

How far (in feet) has the plane travelled from the start of its descent to the time it has descended 3 000 feet?
Draw a diagram to help you.

Okkkk i have no idea how to work this out but like i said before pleeeeeaaaaase dont give me the answer! I only need to know the method of how to work this out.

Leon estimates that he will use approximately 80L of water per day. If the average rainfall in June is 70mm, how full will the tank become by the end of June if it is empty in the start?

Ok, I've tried this but I'm really not confident that I did it right. The question is..

A rectangle has a perimeter 20 m. Express the area of the rectangle as a function of the length of one of its sides.

I'm guessing there is more than one answer to this question.
