40 blue, 40 red, 20 green. 60 of these are large. What's the probability of choosing 3 large, blue, without replacement?

I can do this if there aren't large and small. If they are all the same size, the answer is 6.1% chance for 3 blue.

How do you factor in the 60 large?

Thanks!

I know that:

(a-b)(a-b)=a^2-2ab+b^2

For example, by substituting a=3 and b=1:

(3-1)(3-1)=4

or

3^2-2*3*1+1^2=9-6+1=4

I know they are equal but...

What I want to ask is that in the first place, how do people know we need to use the 3 in the first bracket to multiply the 3 in the second bracket and then use the 3 in the first bracket again to multiply the -1 in the second bracket and so on.

Thank you.

The front wheels of a tractor are 0.5 m in diameter and the rear wheels are 2 m in diameter.

whats the distance travelled by the tractor when the front wheel has revolved 2100 times more than the rear wheels ?

(1)8.8 km
(2)2.2 km
(3)5.28 km
(4)4.4 km

KINDLY ,PLEASE dont give soln, i want to solve myself, i want to take the challenge ....if i cant solve it , i will post it again ....but for the time being i need hints .

what i dont understand is , whats the relationship between front wheel and rear wheel ? i think the tractor will move the same distance .......whether the front wheel is bigger or smaller than the rear wheel ...it does not matter .

BY the way , as per the question , it asks how much distance tractor will move given a front wheel and real wheel revolution difference .

can you give me some HINTS so that i can use that in my head and proceed to solve ?

thank you
