I've lost my calculator operation manual for the TI-92 Plus calculator. Does anyone know of a good URL for this calcuator's functions and operations? I can get the device to do all of the basic arithmetic operations and thngs like LOG and Ln functions. However, with Trig. operations and transendental functions, all I get is the equation organized and presented in symbolic form. Even when I make the equation equal to some variable, it doesn't give a "result" answer. I feel like there is one more step in the operation that I need to do but I have no idea what that step is.

If anyone has experience with this calculator, maybe you can tell me what it is that I'm doing wrong. That would be a really big help.

Thanks in advance.

Sometimes the symbolic form is desired, sometimes not.

By default, the TI-92 answers symbolically. But there are two ways to give you the decimal answer.

1) Instead of pressing "ENTER", press and hold the Green Diamond key (in the lower left next to the ON button), *then* press the "ENTER" key. This'll give you the decimal answer.

E.g.,
12π/3 ENTER returns 4·π
12π/3 ♦ ENTER returns 12.56637061

This also works with roots that aren't integers:
25^(1/3) ENTER returns 5 ^ 2/3
25^(1/3) ♦ ENTER returns 2.924017738

2) You can put a decimal point after any integer in the expression, and it will be evaluated to decimal:

E.g.
17^(1./2) ENTER returns 4.12310562
