I hate algebra. Analysis is way better. It's fun and interesting, while algebra is boring and painful (even though it's easier). Anyone else agree?

Theorem: 3=4
Proof:

Suppose:
a + b = c

This can also be written as:
4a - 3a + 4b - 3b = 4c - 3c

After reorganizing:
4a + 4b - 4c = 3a + 3b - 3c

Take the constants out of the brackets:
4 * (a+b-c) = 3 * (a+b-c)

Remove the same term left and right:
4 = 3

Comment: Please don't think me as a student.. I'm a Post graduate in Management (Graduate in terms of US educational system) with Economics and Mathematics as my background subjects.. I give these problems for refreshing my brain in the weekends after a long week of monotonous office job as well as to know many things from you also... Exchange of ideas what I mean.

I'm currently taking Geometry in 8th grade. (I skipped PreAlgebra)

Since the beginning of school, I took 4 tests so far.

When I test with the other subjects (History, English, and Science) I do really well, but math is the only problem I have...

Yet every math test I took, I knew how to do the math, but I always end up making little mistakes (as my math teacher tells me). And everytime I get the test back, I would always go Grr! I knew how to do this!

Anyone have any tips for math test taking?

I'm always the 2nd-to-last/last person to finish... & I'm always nervous while taking the math tests and everyone in my class is very competitive (so that doesn't help). Plus everyone exspects me to be SUPER intelligent and I don't want to disappoint anyone, but I recently have (because of my math grade). This was the first time I had ever disappointed my parents..

This has been troubling me for 2 weeks already :( and I can't stop worrying if I'm going to fail the next test too

Chemical fertilizers usually contain nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K). The amount of nutrients present is expressed as a percent of the total mass of the fertilizer in the three-term ratio, N: P: K. The amount of nutrients in the three 10kg bags of fertilizer A, B, and C is 6: 12: 22, 14: 5: 9 and 21: 7: 7 reapectively. a) Which fertilizer contains the most nitrogen? and b) Which fertilizer has the greatest ratio of N: K?

The limit as x→-∞ of (x + the square root of (x^2 + 2x)). I have to solve it algebraically. I keep getting DNE but when I graph it, the answer looks like it should be -1. Can you please show detailed work on how to do this problem or a similar one. Here's what I've tried but obviously something is wrong: *sq stands for square root of---
x + sq(x^2 + 2x) * (x – sq(x^2 +2x))
--------------------------------------------
1* ((x – sq(x^2 +2x))

x^2 – (x^2+2x)
------------------
x – sq(x^2 +2x)

-2x / x
-----------
(x-sq(x^2 + 2x))/x

-2
-----
1-sq(1-(2x^-.5))

I took the limits of each part to get:

-2
----
1-sq(1-0)

-2
----
0

DNE

It might be easiest to write this out on paper first because I couldn't type alll the mathamatical symbles -Thanks
