It's realy a prety easy problem. A ratio is like a type of fraction. For example lets look at the first bag: the ratio is 6:12:22. That means that the whole bag (10kg) is split in to 40 (6+12+22) parts. 6 parts N, 12 parts are P, and 22 parts are K. To find out how much Nitrogen is in the bag you think of the classic fraction. 6 parts out of 40 = 6/40= .15 or 15% of the bag is Nitrogen. You than find 15% of 10kg to get how much nitrogen in kg is in the bag. The answer is 1.5 kg. See if you can figure out the rest from there.

I think you can do it this way:
Bag A has 6 parts N, 12 parts P and 22 parts K, for 40 parts altogether. 6/40 = 15% nitrogen or 1.5 kg.
Bag B has 28 parts of which 14 are nitrogen. That makes 14/28 or 50%, which means it has 5 kg.
Bag C has 35 parts of which 21 are nitrogen. 21/35 = 60% which means it has 6 kg of nitrogen.
For part b, just divide N/K for each bag and see which gives you the largest answer.

a) C has the most N, 21% vs 14 & 6 for the others
b) A N/K=6/22=.2727
B N/K=14/9=1.555
C N/K=21/7=3.0
C has the highest N/K ratio.
