During three Antarctic voyages between 2002 and 2005, the German research vessel, Polarstern discovered more than 700 new species of marine life, in frigid depths ranging from 774 to 6,348 meters (about 2,500 to 21,000 feet), which included an exotic creature resembling a fossil trilobite. Any amateur fossil hunter will see in this newly-discovered creature a strong resemblance to the trilobite — a crab-like arthropod which presumably went extinct more than 250 million years ago. For details see Yahoo Group: Auldaney, posting Living Trilobite Discovered!

coestel erosion is @ n@tur@l process nd its been goin on @long the stretch of co@stline since the shore ws exposed to the se@ @t the end of the lst ice @ge. its nli @ problem when it effects the people. In the lonf term the best solution could be to mve people @w@y from the effeted @re@. The popul@tion density of this @re@ is low so reletively few people would be effected. The f@rml@nd is nt in very good condition. People could be moved to @ccom@d@tion or sumwer @ sfe distence frm the eroding l@nd @re@.
there r problems with this though, @s some people mite nt wnt to move evn if they persicve there home isnt under immedi@te thre@t. The f@ct of moving house is it could be costly nd if they do nto hve insurence for the hosue when it coll@pses they will need to find @ enw house nd will hve to get new property to go in it. If the @re@ continues to erode people will be forced to move to tempor@ry @ccomid@tion until there hosue hs either coll@psed or it could still b s@fe

Ok, living in the northern hemisphere, I know that when you flush the toilet or let the water drain out of the bath, the water rotates counterclockwise as it is funneled down the drain. I also know that in the southern hemisphere the water goes down counterclockwise.

What happens at the equator?

As an added bonus question, what would happen if you were flying in a commercial jet OVER the equator and you flushed the toilet at that exact moment. Would the water change directions?
