Okay we learned in primary school that
"As freshwater goes from ice to liquid, from liquid to ice or from liquid to gas, it undergoes an obvious change of state"
Can any of you Global warming scientist educate me on the status of world Glaciers before it turned into Glaciers and what caused it.

I'm confused about the location of methane hydrates deposits - on the one hand i've read they are mostly found within the sediments of continental shelves, which depth is useully around 300m, yet i've also heard the hydrets are most common at the depths of 1000m below surface.

(From the diagrams i've seen it doesnt seem as if the deposits are 700m beneath the continental shelve's sediment- they are drawn as a thin layer- and to add to the mess - some sources claim the hydrates are at the ocean floor,1000m below sea surface!)

links will be really apprecited :)

thanks!

I need help identifying a creature.. First of all the bug looks like a skinny small black beetle. It pops itself up and jumps around pretty fast. When I first saw it, I felt something flicking my leg. I looked down and saw the bug. I grabbed a toy foam ball and threw it at it. I didnt want to step on it because I wansnt wearing slippers. When I looked closely to examine the type of bug it popped almost up to my face and I screamed like a girl. I cannot give you a picture because I smashed the hell out of it. To help you figure it out, heres something that looks similar to the bug I saw.

The one I saw was its legs are small and theres more if I can remember. It also looked like it had wings like a beatle.

By the way you can actually hear it pop and its kind of loud, like dropping a pebble on the ground. Please help me identify if they are harmless, I found more of the same bug (about 3) in my room. I have no idea if it has harmful abilities.

There are these brown, rodent-looking animals in my backyard. They are pretty big, they have been eating grass, and can stand up. They also have a small tail. What is this animal, because I have no idea what it is? And is it dangerous?
