They are in fact Groundhogs. They are quite harmless and eat vegetation only. There is no need to panic or call animal control like earlier suggested. They look like a Beaver close up and do stand up on their back legs to be able to spot danger when they feel threatened. They are light to dark brown in color and can weigh from about 6-20 lbs. The live in holes underground and can be found all over the eastern United States. They are more afraid of you than you are of them. They are only a problem if you have a garden. They eat grass, flowers and vegetable plants..

My outdoors is going as much as a wooded section of a park. The racoons and possums bypass around at evening and make noises. One evening it gave the effect of a few factor grew to grow to be into crying at an analogous time because of the fact it grew to grow to be into dying, i think of of the possum killed a rabbit, or probably a cat. I used to bypass away nutrition for a stray cat on the back deck. i grew to grow to be into on Y/a prior due one evening ( like i'm now ) and that i hear some factor get knocked over on the deck.....I recognized and there grew to grow to be suitable right into a huge possum a minimum of three ft lengthy. I close the door and do not bypass away nutrition at evening any further. I feed the cat for the duration of the day.

Groundhogs?
Seriously, they're a living condominium for fleas, and a menace to a well-cared for garden. But basically, they're harmless.
Want to have some fun! When they waddle along, give a loud whistle. They'll sit up and try to figure what's making that noise.

Groundhogs! Aren't they crazy? Call and have someone trap them in a humane trap and put them somewhere else.

Where do you live?
If it eats grass, it's probably not dangerous.
