i found a small rock in a forest in England its very sparkly and has a gold colour and is quite heavy for its size. any ideas what it is? or the name of any web sites what could help. many thanx..

The world goes through i guess thousands of tyres a day. Why arent the oceans (guessing the majority of the particles of rubber gets washed away down drains etc) covered in it or why isnt the surface of the water covered in floating particles. Where does all the rubber go?

The answer to the question in that link is apparently (D) - could anyone give me some justification for that answer? Or is it actually wrong?

If time = distance/speed and according to the graph, the distance is 6370 km to the earth's centre, then this must be doubled to 'travel down to the earth's core AND BACK'.

So time = (6370 x 2)/10, in my opinion, but that isn't an option. So what is the right answer and how?
