B. infra red radiation from the earth.
This is because when solar radiation hits the earth, short wave radiation is absorbed and then re-emitted as long wave radiation (infra red) which is felt as heat. The upper atmosphere is very cold because there is no surfaces to heat unlike the land\sea.
