They are the same. Marine life is ocean life. Things associated with the ocean are referred to as marine. Things associated with lakes would be called lacustrian and things associated with rivers would be called fluvial.

Ocean life and Marine life are the same. period..the precieved difference is really only a matter of egotism.
Marine life would suggest to certain types that you are aware of the huge diversity of life in the sea and you feel connected to them..on the other hand"Ocean life" is just a wave of the hand that says" they have their life , I have mine.

Ocean life is life that's only in an ocean whereas marine life refers to life in any body of water, whether it's lake, river ocean, etc.
